Every animal who comes through the sanctuary’s gates is given a second chance—a chance to know comfort, care, and unconditional love. Though their time with us may be short, the joy, laughter, and gentle moments they experience stay with them forever, and the memories they leave in our hearts last a lifetime. Each one teaches us something about resilience, trust, and the simple power of love, and though they may no longer walk our pastures, they will always be part of our herd and our hearts.

Molly came to Iron Range Equine Sanctuary with her companion, Penelope, in August of 2024. She struggled with knee arthritis and carried extra weight, but with some care and attention she was able to get more comfortable. While we couldn’t fully manage her pain, we were grateful to give her a couple of months where she could simply enjoy life.
Even though her time with us was short, Molly brought so much joy, love, and laughter to everyone at the sanctuary. She had a way of brightening the days around her, and she will always be remembered with warmth and gratitude.
