Meaghan Salmon- President/ Treasurer
Meaghan has been an active equine enthusiast since she was a child! During her equestrian career she has been a large animal vet assistant, FEI Dressage groom and a high performance barn manager! She prides herself in creating a positive environment for horses to start to feel comfortable and confident in their own surroundings.
Meaghan manages the day to day operations as well as takes care of the animals at the sanctuary!

Elliott Salmon- VP/ Farm Operations Manager
Elliott’s equine journey started when he met Meaghan in the spring of 2022! Elliott has played a vital part to the sanctuary from the beginning! His care and compassion help all of the sanctuary animals feel safe and loved on their journey to recovery!
Elliott supports the day to day operations, is our “in house problem fixer” and is also in charge of giving all of the critters treats!

Taylor Kehnemuyi- Secretary
Taylor has 15 years of varied experience in the horse world. She began riding and showing hunters/jumpers in the Chicagoland, Pennsylvania and Jersey areas. She grew her love for horses in multiple working student, trainer assisting, and vet assisting positions on the east coast as a teenager. She has knowledge in every aspect of providing top notch care to the horses under her management from facility care to specialized veterinary after care. Currently Taylor is rehabilitation farm manager and vet assistant in the Chicagoland area.

Lauren White- Social Media Chairsperson / Grants Chairsperson
Lauren has always been an avid equine lover and began growing her love for and knowledge of equine care when she was an early teen. So far in her equine career, she’s held positions as a working student and barn manager at FEI dressage farms and is currently a student at the University of Kentucky. She hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of equines, as they have made a positive impact on hers.

Harley Estey- Coming Soon
Harley is a lifelong equine enthusiast who grew up in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and now resides in Hibbing. Her passion for horses began at an early age and continues today through trail riding with her first horse, Diesel, who has been part of her family for 14 years. In her professional role as a Deputy Sheriff for St. Louis County, Harley frequently assists with animal neglect investigations, bringing her equine expertise to ensure the welfare of animals in need. She is dedicated to promoting responsible horse ownership, educating the community, and advocating for the protection and proper care of all equines.
