In Memory of
Misty
Misty came to Iron Range Equine Sanctuary after enduring years of neglect that left her with severe hoof damage and chronic pain. Although she had only been with us for two weeks, she quickly reminded us why every life is worth fighting for.
From the day she arrived, Misty received comprehensive veterinary care, farrier evaluations, pain management, and around-the-clock attention. We consulted with multiple professionals, hoping there was a path forward that would give her a comfortable future.
Despite everyone’s best efforts, it became clear that the damage was too extensive and her quality of life could not be restored. The kindest gift we could give Misty was a peaceful goodbye.
While her time with us was heartbreakingly short, she spent her final days knowing comfort, kindness, and unconditional love. Misty’s story serves as a reminder of the importance of early intervention, responsible hoof care, and giving every animal the dignity they deserve..
